HunterMoss Launches New Basque to Bordeaux Supercar Tour

HunterMoss has launched its 2027 calendar, bringing together the company’s signature driving journeys across Europe and North America, alongside a pioneering new route: the Basque to Bordeaux Supercar Tour.
Running from 26th April to 2nd May 2027, the seven-day journey traces from Bilbao through San Sebastián and Biarritz to the vineyards of Saint-Émilion, joining the dots between two of the most celebrated culinary and cultural regions in Europe.

The new tour is built around contrast and gastronomy
Guests move from the rugged Atlantic shoreline of the Basque Country, with its pintxos bars and three-Michelin-starred kitchens, to the grand châteaux and legendary roads of Bordeaux wine country, with five-star stays overlooking the Cantabrian Sea and landmark accommodation in Biarritz along the way.
As with every HunterMoss journey, the supercars are the thread that connects the experience rather than the point of it; the days are shaped by gastronomy, scenery, private access and the company of a small group travelling together.

A taste of the journey
Day 1: Arrival & Welcome
After arriving into Bilbao, guests will transfer to a magnificent five-star hotel overlooking the Cantabrian Sea in the affluent coastal town of Getxo. The evening is highlighted by an unforgettable dining experience at a legendary three-Michelin-starred restaurant, set in an astounding hilltop building and boasting one of Spain’s most celebrated tasting menus.
Day 2: Bilbao City Tour
Today’s itinerary unfolds with a guided exploration of Bilbao, absorbing the historic old town of Casco Viejo alongside world-class modern architecture, including a private curatorial-level tour of the iconic Guggenheim Museum. In the afternoon, savour culinary visits to a curated selection of rustic pintxos bars, followed by authentic txakoli tastings. As evening falls, guests will enjoy relaxed dining at the hotel’s elegant restaurant, with a menu crafted by an award-winning Basque chef.
Day 3: Drive Day 1
Beginning with a relaxed morning, guests will take the wheel of their first supercar, tracing the Basque coastline from Bilbao to San Sebastián. In the afternoon, they will indulge in a guided culinary walk through the old town, sampling signature pintxos, before continuing to Biarritz. Here, guests will unwind at an iconic five-star hotel and conclude the day with refined open-air dining, set against sweeping ocean views.

Day 4: Drive Day 2
The day begins with a relaxed breakfast before taking to the wheel for an exhilarating loop into the Pyrenees, where striking alpine scenery unfolds. Guests will experience the power and precision of multiple supercars along technical mountain roads, with a light lunch en route. The enthralling day is complemented by a serene evening at the hotel, where mouthwatering regional dining in a sophisticated brasserie awaits.
Day 5: Drive Day 3
The final day in the supercars commences with a cruise north through the Landes pine forests into the Gironde, navigating fast-flowing backroads and the vine-covered hills of this renowned wine region. On arrival in Bordeaux, guests will settle into their opulent hotel in Saint-Émilion for a two-night stay, before unwinding and concluding the day with exceptional dining at the hotel’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant.
Day 6: Bordeaux Wine Experience
A remarkable Bordeaux wine experience brings the journey to an elegant close, with visits to three prestigious Grand Cru estates for exclusive tastings. A light lunch and further tastings follow at the striking Château La Dominique, before returning to the hotel to conclude the journey with a memorable al fresco dinner in the terrace garden.
